Hello beautiful souls,

Life often presents us with pivotal moments that profoundly shape our paths. For me, that moment came on the day my grandmother passed away. Although it was a heartbreaking experience, it also marked the dawn of my journey toward self-love and freedom. With her gentle spirit watching over me, I found myself asking, “Teach me how to love myself the way you loved me.” Little did I know, this simple inquiry would lead me down a transformative road.

That summer, I faced my darkest shadows—the parts of myself I had long avoided. As daunting as it was, I embraced this challenge with a heart full of determination. Through disciplined daily practices of devotion, meditation, and yoga, I found solace in quieting the noise of my past. I learned to listen—not just to the echoes of my former self, but to the whispers of a higher power guiding me toward my future.

One of the most powerful tools I discovered during this journey was poetry. Channeling my innermost thoughts and feelings onto the page allowed me to reframe my greatest traumas. Instead of being shackled by them, I began to transmute the energy I had been holding in my body, transforming negative self-talk into affirmations of love and strength. It was a beautiful alchemy of healing.

My exploration led me to Dr. Emoto’s water experiments, where he demonstrated the astonishing effect words can have on water molecules. I realized that the same principles apply to music; the words we speak and sing hold incredible power. They can either heal or hurt. This revelation lit a fire within me—a fierce determination to create music that embodies love, hope, and liberation.

So, I set out to record my own music. Each note, each lyric serves as a reminder of who I am and what I came here to do. I intend to inspire others to embrace their true selves, to remember that happiness is not just a fleeting emotion, but our birthright. We are all deserving of joy, fulfillment, and the freedom to pursue our dreams.

As I share my story, I encourage you to reflect on your journey. Recognize the divinity within you and stand tall in your liberty. You are a miracle, simply by existing. Whether you’re an artist, a dreamer, or someone searching for your path, remember that you have the power to choose love over fear, and passion over doubt.

Do what you love. Follow your heart’s desires. Let the world hear your unique song—because you matter, and the beauty of your existence has the potential to inspire those around you.

In the words of my cherished grandmother, may you learn to love yourself fiercely and boldly, just as she loved me.

With love and light,

Valley West <3
